just installed apexi turbo timer and spliced the o2 sensor wire to the white wire on the ecu harness. car warms up but the voltage reads 2.55? i hooked up the wires the same as the one on the "how to wire up turbo timer" page, maybe i did something wrong? don't think o2 sensor is bad or anything, any thoughts???

Something isn't right.... might have tapped into the wrong wire?

tapped into wrong wires. tapped into right ones now but should the voltage jump around a lot? i know it should never go over 1 volt, but at idle, it usually stays around .85. at times it moves from like .10 to .90 all around. i've read that it is suppose to be around .31 or so, but should all cars read that same o2 voltage?

Our narrow band O2 sensors only read rich or lean. Stoichometric is somewhere around .45v or so... I can't remember. At idle, it should bounce between rich and lean like every 3-5 seconds. When you're cruising at part throttle, it should bounce back and forth constantly meaning the motor is running with a stoich A/F ratio. When you go WOT, it should go rich.

o did i mention that this is with an N/A car? all i have is a CAI. so basically, i'm allright, right? with key on, engine off, it reads .33 or so. at idle and driving, it jumps. haven't WOT it yet, gonna do it tomorrow.

i am curious aswell, ine just stays at 2.55volts no matter what i do. start up, idle, wot.

u tapped into the wrong signal. just remember that the wire diagrams are shown as if you were looking at the wire side going down to the ecu. the numbers are on the ecu side, not the harness. just trace the pin on the ecu to the wire on the harness.

You need to re-check your wiring my friend.

everything is working fine now, just installed 370cc injectors on my NA sr20de, waiting for turbo. anybody know what to look for in the voltage when i tune the injectors to my stock de ecu? i know you're suppose to get the voltage to around .45 or so from idle to around 3k rpm or so, but how do you read the voltage value? from 0% correction, it is steady at around .88 to .91 and goes down slowly as I take away the % correction. between -20 to -25 %, the numbers jump around, then stops at the low .3 or .4 area for a while, then jumps around again? i couldn't figure it out so i just left alone til something comes up. i read it somewhere but was never confirmed that if i run 370's on my stock ecu which is programmed for 259's, i can just -30% from all the value and it should run the same as the stock 259cc's? i basically want the car to run good for a few days until i finally install my turbo, then i'll tune it for boost. thanks.

Get a wideband. Otherwise, you're just shooting in the dark.
