Anyone else uses this size tire on a B14. If you do, please post pics.

better than ever man. I want to run wider tires so it will flush with the fender. You'll see the beast tomorrow if you to to TPM for the rally.

I posted a couple pics a few weeks ago in the members rides section. But They were hosted on SR20DE.org which went down and lost all stored info. I will see if I still have them around here someplace.

They do fit and look sinister as hell.

225/50? Thats got to really screw up the speedo's on our cars. I think you'd be better with a 225/40 because a 50 series will have too high of a sidewall and actually make your car handle worse.

205/50 is probably the best for the stock 15" B14 rims. You could then go to 215/45 or 225/40 if you want to get pricey. I don't think 225/50 is the best idea.

I don't really care about the speedo. I was running 17's before with 215-45-17 .

Ok, I'm just not sure how well the 225 would fit on the stock B14 rims. Plus like I said a 225 with a 50 series is going to have a rather large sidewall.

If I had money to burn I would have bought 225/45/16 SO3's instead of my 205/50/15 when I bought my new rims. Talk about expensive. I think this combo would be great for a turbo. Taller tires might help with wheelspin on the street.

What do all the numbers stand for? I'm running 205/60/15 and the tires rub the fender well when i turn sharp. I didn't buy them though-- they came with the car.

Ouch! 205/60's must look like truck tires! Why did the previous owner have such a high series tire? Damn.

For the numbers:

205 is the width of the tire - 60 is the sidewall (edge of any part of the rim to the top of the tire) - but the catch is it's a percentage of the width. So a 205/50 series has a much much smaller sidewall than a 225/50 tire. Make sense?

My 225/50/15's are Kumho racetires on Rota C8's 6.5" wide wheels and aren't on the car that much. They are barely taller than my 205/45/16 streets. There are people who run the same Kumho's I have on Stock 200SX wheels. I don't think I would run tires that wide on the street.

I actually have had somebody say they look like truck tires before. I would get new ones, but these have good tread still and i am broke. The tires have already put holes in the plastic splash gaurd or whatever its called in the fender well so i will be replacing that when i get new tires anyway. I have no idea why he put them on there. The car sits up high enough as it is.

I was running 205/50's on my stocks, I liked them... if you go 225 driving around here is gonna be a bitch... I guess it couldn't be worse than my 205/40's I m runnin now... it's worth a try... How wide were those rims you had on there saturday?

I'd be interested in seeing pics of a stock suspention with a taller tire. I've been the lowered route and it's not the ride for me. I put some 205-55-16's up next to my car and it looked good in the front but the back looked like it would rub. Why the hell does the back have to squat anyway?

I ran 225-50-15 Kumho V700s on the front, and they rub the inside fender. This was on stock B14 wheels. The 225-50 has too big of sidewalls. I ran them to get more rubber on the front.

205/50 I believe is the best for the stock B14 rims. You will get a slight speedo error though over the 195/55, but not really too bad.

Wanna talk about a screwwy speedo, I was running 225/40/18's. It took a bit of altering to get them to fit but they did. I've since switched to 215/35/18's. No problems what so ever. Except for how much they slow me down.
