: HKS Pulsar GTiR Downpipes
TurbochargedSER 04-20-2002, 08:22 PM Hello Everyone-
I just ordered an HKS Downpipe that is made for teh Pulsar GTiR. It is aluminized steel and is 2.5" in diameter. It will work on T28 setups. They are $237.50. I should have it in stock next week sometime! They are special order items from HKS, but if there is a demand for them I can orer then and have HKS possibly stock them for me! I will post pics once I get it in!
domiguy 04-20-2002, 10:00 PM Well if they could be easily made to fit a B14 with a T25, I would probably happily buy one :)
sr20detutah 04-21-2002, 12:15 AM TurbochargedSER, I would love to see those pics. If it is high quality and will fit my 98 SE with T28 them I'll need one within a month or so. It must have a good flex pipe too!!!
TurbochargedSER 04-21-2002, 02:50 AM Well, like I said! As soon as I get it I will take pics of it and post them! HKS makes quality stuff, so I am not worried about that! I will keep you all informed!
SeattleSE R 04-21-2002, 10:57 PM If this piece bolts onto the stock location for the catalytic converter, i'm buyin that, a t28, gti-r manifold and ditching my lil t25.
Andreas Miko 04-21-2002, 11:41 PM I will tell you this right now that the pipe for the GTIR is not the same fit for thr SE-R. I know because I have made a couple pipe for GTIRs that we have rolling around here in Miami, and they look nothing like SE-R downpipes that I make. So go ahead and buy this pipe I might buy them form you for $50 when you guys need to sell them.
MarkSR20 04-21-2002, 11:58 PM So since there is differences, tell us what they are? We dont want to waste our money on something that is not going to work! I am in the market for something like this and I was wondering why this would not fit. Is it a different length? Different Bends? Different size flex section? Thanks and have a good one!
Low612 04-22-2002, 01:54 AM Well guys keep in mind , every situation is different. In my experience having t-25,t-28 and gt2835 all these turbos i have used the same downpipe without any modifications. I only changed my downpipe for the gt2835 because over *** past couple of years i have crushed my 3"downpipe. Now i made a new one which is 3inch clears the crossmember with flexpipe, fully mandrel bent alluminized for 150.00 (its an ok price). But back to the subject i have a B13 i have used the BBmanifold and gti-r manifold with same downpipes. I guess it all depends who makes the dp. I think most of the mass produced stuff is straight foward fitment though.

TurbochargedSER 04-22-2002, 01:10 PM The HKS unit is made from the J-Pipe to the catalytic converter! I wouldn't imagine the catalytic converter would be placed that much different than the Sentra/200SX. They only problem I can see is the center differential shaft. It may require you to cut and reposition the flange and maybe a small amount of pipe.
CowboyDren 04-23-2002, 02:02 AM I'm an idiot, but I thought that Pulsars had drive shafts where we keep our exhaust piping.

You are not an idiot, but I think I addressed this issue in one of my other posts about having to possibley modify the downpipe to get the fitment correct!

RUTH'LESS 200sx 05-06-2002, 09:55 PM That is a beatiful downpipe the quality looks tremendous. What size is the downpipe? If you don't have a cat you dont have to worry about fitment problems am i correct.
skiddusmarkus 05-07-2002, 12:38 PM If they do fit you'll get decent gains in power and turbo spool up time as I know people who've had tham on and were happy with the results.
CNibbana 05-12-2002, 02:12 PM So does it fit?
Will you repost the pics?
sr20detutah 05-12-2002, 03:50 PM That does not look like it will fit and to get it to fit you would ruin it. Just my observation from the pics. Louis, let us know if I'm wrong here.
Andreas Miko 07-30-2002, 10:05 AM Anyone selling a HKS Pulsar GTIR downpipe. I will buy one if anyone is interested in getting rid of it. Like I said up top I will buy it once you guys realized it would not fit.
