Please read entire post before voting.
Was going to post this in the NX2000 section but I think the voting would be too predictable.
I really don't know what to do these days. I have recently restored and repainted my NX and even more recently bougth a rusty old EGNN14 (LHD GTi-R). Now I have achoice of either restoring the GTi-R and selling the NX or making the world's first (to my knowlegde) 4wd turbo NX. Since the later option would require both cars it is the more expensive one.
To begin with, I am not some dumb kid who thinks swapping stuff between cars is a matter of loosening and tigthening bolts.
In the case of the 4wd NX I'd be cutting part of the bottom of the sunny and welding that part on to the NX to make room for the driveshaft and rear axles. I would probably also be using the fuel tank from the sunny. In the case of restoring the Sunny I'd be buying a cheaper model sunny in good shape (preferable without engine) and either using parts from that car to repair EGNN14 body or swapping engine and drivetrain over (same trouble as with the NX)
Some facts about the cars....
NX:
1992, power everything, 215k km, SR20DE, cosmetic modifications by me, some performance mods but all are transferable, 1 of 10 NXen in the country.
Sunny:
1992, 151k km, SR20DET, stock, originally inteded to be a rally car so it was ordered with no electric anything, no abs, no sunroof, not even a radio (good or bad? matter of opinions), 1 of 2 GTi-Rs in the country extreme rust issues.
Time for some pictures....
