Hi, I have a few problems crossmember related.

1. I have a SR20DET with T25, but it came with the turbo facing downwards (probably toward a front mount). Some people told me it was out of a Primera. On these cars, the crossmember is slightly toward the driver side, compared to my NX. So the flange coming out of the turbo doesn't clear the crossmember. Two solutions: I cut the flange or I do a new one OR I cut the crossmember to fit and I add some metal pieces to reinforce it.

2. Because of this crossmember, my front motor mount doesn,t fit at all. I could have used my stock DE metal piece to install it, but because of turbo facing downwards, I can't get the motor mount in. So I will use the DET metal piece and weld the DE metal piece on it. Because I figured out that if I only use the DET mp, the motor mount will be flat, and won't work at all, as it must retain the engine from going backwards.

What would you do and would you do that? Thanks a lot!

Oh yeah and is it dangerous to drive for 3 km without downpipe?

Let me guess, is your det a silver top? Sounds like you got an Avenir det. Try rotating the compressor housing up by .5 inch. See this thread (http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15211) for details.

I don't know what engine I got, but it's red top, surprisingly!

I read the thread, but I have a few questions, if you could please answer it on the other thread! Before asking it, I was about to grind the crossmember!

Wierd, a front-mount red top. Too many different versions of these things. :) Do you know if it has the newer ball-bearing T-25, or if its the older T-25?

I can I know that?
I checked the little plate on the turbo and it has no "b" in the serial number.

Use a snap ring tool and rotate the compressor housing...walla!
