Not exciting, but it's the tried-and-true response:

OEM wires and NGK platnums.

screw the platinums....get the bkr6e copper plugs...much better than the platinums.. the oem wires though are the best youll find unless you're running an aftermarket igntion amplifierd, or are running a helluva lot of boost.

If you're going to change your plug wires, then you might also consider changing the distributor cap, distributor rotor, and fuel filter if they haven't been changed at all. With that said, personally, I feel that the OEM ignition system and components are best. Here's what I paid for my stuff:

plug wires... $48
distributor cap... $11
distributor rotor... $7
fuel filter... $9

Well if your going to dealership and the parts guy doesn't know what OEM means, talk to his boss and tell him that his employee's need more training. :D

You should always check your plug gap even if people tell you they're already pre-gapped.

I'll tell you what I tell everybody else: stock wires, stock plugs. The only difference with the plugs that I use is that they're heat range 6. But they're standard issue NGK plats.

Look at the evidence... SE-Rs with over 400 HP using stock wires and plugs, running perfectly. If you want my advice, there it is. :D

I use Magnacor's 8.5 wire, they been on for 21,000 miles with NO problems. My Brother
has a 1.6L with Magnacors 8.5 and one of the wires pulled apart, also I like to say his car was very warm at the time. Some times wires pull apart when they are Hot or warm.

Are teh stock plug wires NGK or are htey sumitomo?

Also is the wire ebtween the P10 and the classic SE-R the same?

Local dealership carries sumitomo wires, not NGK weird
