Ok so I am thinking of brightening up the rears with some LEd bulbs...seems there may be some issues with them lighting up at all or blinking (for turn signals).

Has anyone put the bulb clusters of LEDs in their stock housings? I wouldn't mind making the tails BRIGHTER than stock, but I like the classy look of the stock tails.

Thanks for info, and I only found old threads on it, but do any members here sell LED bulbs? I want to buy all the bulbs I need from the same place.

I am thinking: 6-LED 194's in white for the front side markers (clear lensed now), and red ones for teh rears (back to red lenses...they look better...) ; some kind of big 921-style for my Tsuru drivin lights ; and the rest are 1157's, white ones on the front corners, reds for te brake lights and white for the reverse lights???

IIRC, most people have trouble with LEDs functioning correctly... the wavelength of most red LEDs doesn't match the shade of red that the tail lenses are from the factory.

This means it'll be darker and you'll have funny little glowy spots in the middle of your taillights.

ApacheXMD was working on something like this, like +/- 15 mos. ago... but I never heard back from him.
