Those are some grippy damn tires. I've autocrossed them and just rode on track in a Neon with them. There is not much difference between them and the Toyo RA-1 R-compound race tire. 200 treadwear my ass.
Looking at those big/wide tread blocks, I would NOT want to drive through a typical NC summer thunderstorm with them.

The head of the SoCal SERCA group is using them as race tires, that should give you an idea of how sticky they are. :) They're what I'll have as my street tires, too.
