It is not a real lsd. It installs into your open diff and ties the two spider gears together with what think is just alot of spring pressure.

I have the old parts from my tranny after installing my Quaife. If you need anything let me know and I can hook you up.

How much would you be willing to sell your stock LSD for? I am one of the NON lsd having 98' owners and i have a spare tranny to put it in. TIA

You also need the case off the LSD car.

I def had to add the LSD open diff sucked. I broke my open diff trans with an ACT Clutch..

I just went with a 96 Trans and axles. I think the whole 98-99
trans in general is weaker. I also Cryoed my gears.

How much did that cost, and can any tranny shop cryo treat or is it more of a speciality deal?

TIA,

Your trans looks nice. What did you use to paint it? Does that cause any ill-effects?

when i had the case apart i cleaned the whole case in and out
in a parts cleaner machine w/ mineral spirits and then just taped off the inside and the sensors and put about 10 light coats of high
temp engine enamel then installed new seals etc. I dont see any
benifits or problems it sure does look nice now. As for Cryoing
you have to have it done at a CRYO Facility I used a place called
Fast Foward Connection or something in OHIO. It was $150 if I
remember correctly.
