370 injectors, stock maf, whats a reliable bump up in boost with this setup? Is it possible to run maybe 10 - 12 psi safely? ( Also this is going to be run on 91 octane here in California. )

on 370's and stock MAF, i would say 11 would be the absolute max with your 9.5:1 CR. you do have 3" exhaust right?

remember, you are gonna run out of injector head room pretty quick with the 370's

i put mine to 9 psi, because i dont trust our gas here, and its gonna start to get pretty hot soon.

with race gas, and 50 lb/cobra maf you could do as high as 1 bar, from what i hear.

Hmm, you could try turning it up in small increments and backing off when you hear pinging.

Boost sucks doesn't it? ;)

Well every car is different Irwin. I ran 98% maf (stock)and 99% (370cc injector on 8psi with t-28 ,starion FMIC,jwt ecu, full 3inch exhaust and S3's . I couldnt stab the throttle for too long would have to shift at 6k-6500 rpms because my maf/injectors were topping out. I had a multicheck also thats how i got my readings in maf/injector %'s . if u could find one i think this would be very benificial. Oh i also had 8:5:1 CR as well running 15 deg timing.
Before you worry about turning up the boost get an egt gauge if u havent already at a minimum. Also get that turbo outlet pipe that goes under the radiator fixed (kinda scary) =>P . But yes....
Make sure everything is in working order before you turn your boost up. Good Luck! I will see you on the freeway! vroooooom!

Yeah fool make your shit run right. Right now 8psi feels like 6psi :D . Did you fix the valve cover gasket yet? After that find out where the intake leak is.. then we can go forward.

Irwin! Don't blow up your motor man...we'll be pissed!

Yah, try to see if you can borrow a mulitchecker so you can get injectors and MAF readings before you decide to spring for the dial-a-boom BC. Setting those things can be a little hairy and things could get out of control really quick.

BTW, big thanks to hard-core Walter and Luis for helping me get in the crazy stealth-action IC.

So what is the max amount of boost for a T28 with stock BB DET, stock MAF, Stock BB Injectors, 2.5" exhaust, + Walbro 255 Fuel pump???

The archives of the SE-R mailing list seem to indicate that 12 PSI is about as much as you can run with a DET and a T25, 14 or so with a T28. Detonation is a concern, but reversion is more of a problem than knock. Beyond those levels, the turbines can't flow as much exhaust gas as the cylinder is making, so the fresh compressed charge doesn't get into as much cylinder space; BOOM. Detonation just became a problem.
