Could someone please let me know if an aem intake will fit on a 98 200sx se-r? http://aempower.com does not list an application for my car and a search on this forum did not help me either. Thanks.

I have seen pics of the AEM low port CAI on a 99 sentra SE (I believe it was a 99, if not it was a 98, either way it was on a sr20de), which has the same engine bay as us, and it seemed to fit fine. I'm thinking of putting one in my car too.

That's not a special part # right? So we just use the low-port B13 one? I'm debating wether this intake is really that much better than the HS. Any opinions?

personally, i'd have to sell my HS for at least $150 to quantify purchasing the AEM for around $220. i figure paying roughly $70 is worth 4-5 more hp. heck i paid $80 for my 91 cam and it only netted me 6 peak hp!

Only? :D $80 for 6hp comes to around $13 per 1 horsepower - if you consider the JWT s4 cams give an average of 13 peak hp and cost $595 - that comes to $45 per 1 hp! :)

So actually that is a good deal.

My hotshot CAI was very poor quality. I wouldn't consider another one of those. If you buy a product and it causes my car to have another problem that cost over $50 dollars. I would rather spend that $ up front on the better product that won't cause a problem. That is what happened with my Hotshot CAI.

Is Place Racing CAI a good alternative compare to HS or AEM?

The Place Racing had better quality then the hotshot that I had. If you look at a hotshot intake, the part that bolts to the MAF is just a 3 inch diameter by 1.5 inch long tube welded to a flat piece of metal with holes drilled into it. Place racing has a nice cnc machined adapter that is much more solid and actually flat.

Did anyone actually confirm the part number on the AEM? Is it the b13 lowport part number?

Thats the part number I'm going with. I'll let you know what I get. By the way, does anyone know how much more it is for the polished piece?
