Hi, I am not very familiar with B13 SR20 mounting cause over here in Malaysia we only have B13 GA16. But after my friend did a conversion from B13 GA16 -> B13 SR20DET "GTiR" I have an idead maybe if i get the parts from SER "B13" he may not need to do alot of body / chassis modification. Below is my question hope the SER expert can help.

1) Is the B13 Ga16 and B13 SER center crossmember identical?

2) Is it easy + cheap to get the front and back mounting bracket for B13 SER?

3)If I am not mistaken, SER come with VLSD, is the power shaft are smaller than the G20 Gearbox power shaft, cause over here I can get B13-SR18DE LSD gearbox "which i think is similar with B13 SER" and the power shaft is smaller to some SR gearbox.

The cross members are different its not very visible to the eye but when you go to do the swap you will see a slight difference...I know this because I just did an engine swap from a 91 B13 SR20 to a 91 B13 GA16. (Now my former GA16 is an SR20) If you have any more questions about the swap let me know.

Not anything that you have to worry about the, 1.6 crossmeber will work fine with out any modification. Motor mounts are different though.

Thanks for your reply, how about the mounting bracket on the front and back of the engine between SR and GA? is it the same?

Um the front right (driverside) is different, they dont look different but they are and the cross members ARE different by the way unless the newer B13 were not because they were different on mine and I had the cars side by side. The others are all the same.

They are all different, none of your GA motor mounts will work. You can get used ones from a local salvage yard for about 20-25 bucks for all..atleast thats what I paid. The crossmember in my XE worked fine with my 10:1 Primera motor and 95' tranny. I even slapped a G20 tranny in there a while back.

Um no, three out of the 4 mounts are the same like I said before the one one the front driverside is different it even says it in SOLM at Sentra.net

What about the mouting bracket, i.e. the front and back bracket that screw to the SR engine, and another that screw to the car chassis "gear box side"

Im not quite following you, can you be a little more specific?

:oI did the swap two years ago by myself and none of my Ga mounts worked, just take a look and compare the Ga mounts to the Sr's mounts and you will see....Hope this helps, any ?'s send me a PM..

This is the link, it says all but 1 of the 4 mounts are interchangeable. On my swap none of the mounts worked as far as the transplant goes. Look at the right side mount, it will not match up with the Sr20 engine mounting point, the rear that connects to the Trans/X-member is completely different. The left side that hooks onto the trans won't line up. And I believe I had to get the small U shaped bracket from the Sr for the front mount. I have a 92 XE, ahh just look at the sig....

That I do not know,if I were you I would get the bracket out of an SE-R just to be on the safe side and if you are yousing a tranny out of an G20 you might want to consider the SE-R with the VSLD in it its better than the G20 that article should tell you all about it and exactly what you need to do the swap yet it does leave some things off so if you need any help e-mail me at Porche9110000@cs.com. Maybe the mounts on the 91-92 sentras are different than the 93-94 sentras and maybe thats why the mounts didnt work for enjoyDride. What happened when i did the swap was 3 out of the 4 brackets stay on the engine when you pull it out i think you are tlaking about the bracket that bolts down to the frame of the car that holds the engine mount thats different from the other 3 the one on the front drivers side all we did was switch them out completely engine mount, bracket and all, I think that is what you are talking about.
