Hey guys, my valves on teh SR20 is ticking. Since these are self adjustable, no one would work on it. What do I have to do? Should I try that motor flush stuff and hope to clean out hte motor?

I am going to do the timing, fuel filter, plugs and wires today. I will do the cap and rotor Wed.

Do I have to go to the dealer?

Are you sure that's not the injectors you're hearing?

Changed it 300 miles ago. It ticks less than before, but it still does it. I bought the car used. I thought it would be an easy problem to fix, until a nissan dealer told me it is 700 bucks to fix collapse lifters! I dont want to pay that much money for it. can you guys think of a quick way to fix it? It is definitely the valves ticking, not injectors. Also the car is VERY VERY sluggish, my friend said the valve timing and the engine timing is way off
