Ok, I know not everyone is in favor of whats up there now, so I put a few other banners together

This is the Nissan font with a carbon fiber type texture.

I like the original font alot, better than the carbon or the glow. Love the tach, maybe include a scooch more of it.
WIth the cutaway, emblem AND tach, it is a bit busy. Maybe get rid of the emblem (or the engine). Then elshewhere on the front page (like right below it) list the applicable vehicles and manufacturer if necessary as a separate item.

That logo even without the word ‘bimmer’ is instantly identifiable as a BMW tach to anyone whose driven one. Kinda how i feel bout the 91-92 tach, zoom-zoom this BABY! If you’re gettin a bit tired of it already (and i HAVE to vote on an existing example) i like the original the best.

I didn't realise the first one had a carbon fiber font until I read the description, even so, it looks messy.

I'm not crazy about the ghost font, but think listing the car models like in the third one is great.

DO NOT remove the engine!!! That's the heart and soul of our car, and I like seeing it at the top of every page.

Same for the tach, when I think of an SR20DE, the first thing that comes to mind is the 7500rpm redline.

Is it me, or is the aspect ratio of the Nissan logo wrong? It looks squashed.

So in summary, add the model listings, de-squash the Nissan logo, and you've got the perfect banner.

I like the third banner. The font stands out the most and is the easiest to notice. The current banner is nice, but the dark font on the relatively dark background makes the title blend in and makes it a little hard to see. The lists of the cars on the third banner also nicely fill in the dead space in the upper right corner.

Does anyone have the colored version of the motor.that might look good as well..

or maybe photoshop this one to have a red vlave cover..it would look good with the redline on the other side

Chris, the Nissan logo is a little out of proportion, but I only did that to fit it in the purple area, otherwise it looked odd going over into the white since its transparent. It also looked odd if it is smaller.

From all of those, I personally like the third one. We shall see, maybe all of this was pointless, and the one thats up there will stay there.

But dont worry, the engine will not leave the pic ;)

HOLY SMOKES!!!!!! That color one looks great. The single color engine just seemed to be too small for as much detail as the picture has, but the color one really defines it much better.

The current title is fine, but get rid of the stretched Nissan logo or find a better looking emblem. Otherwise, it's cool.

Don't make it too busy by adding the names of the cars or doing anything too flashy/busy with the text.

I like the logo with the brown turds eating the smoking SR20DE.

This is your best work yet Serban. I vote for this one.

One Question though, do the letters have to be blue?
It would put the finishing touch on it if you made them...

I think if you could make our forum name POP, and blend in less, it would be the crowning jewel on your project.
