I have a 1998 Sentra SE.

Getting sick of the speed limiter.

I want to be sure to order the right ECM/ECU from a G20 but I need to know exactly what year and is there anything particular I should ask when ordering it?

I called one place and they said there are a lot of different ECM's that came in the G20's in the years between 94 and 96. I know it needs to be OBDII but that's about it.

I want to get it right the first time without having to order more than once and ship back/return.

make sure if your car is a manual you get the approprate ecu

Someone mentioned that the check engine light would be one if I do this swap.

Is this right? That thing annoys me sometimes as it is:)
