If I have to replace my clutch in my car, what kind of clutch should I go with? I do alot of daily driving and would want a setup that could handle me taking it to a drag strip and pumping around 200whp to it. (Hope to do a VE swap one day.)

I thought of doing the JWT pressure plate and stock disc or just the JWT pressure plate because it engages so smoothly and easily for us woosees.:D

JWT PP and stock disk is a good set up for a all motor with bolt ons. Serban (fast91ser) has this set up and it works awesome. His car even chirps third gear. And the clutch pedal feels even better than stock. I recomend it highly and I know he will to.

I personally run a ACT extreme PP and a ACT 4 puck disk with no springs. It is a awesome set-up but a little harsh. If you do not mind a stiff pedal and a little chatter it is cool. I have had this set-up for two years and this MOFO still engages and works like day one. No slipping here.!!! I hope this helps!

Yep, it sure does help. Now I know I have posted this before but when do I know FOR SURE that the clutch is going?

when u do the clutch the flywheel is right there, so nows the time to change it if you need to. (in response to your other thread)

Sterling,
There are many Signs of when the clutch is on its way out- it all depends on which part of the clutch assy.
Please tell me you are not planning on using "HAND" tools for a clutch/flywheel job. When you are ready(clutch and flywheel in hand), let me know-we could do it at my house/garage-Mini-geekout!.
I'll provide the air tools and stands
you provide the Beer- (Corona-preferably!)
1-day job, depending on how much beer we drink:rolleyes:

You're on man! I can get air tools all day long but I would have to kick my dad out of HIS garage and use them. RIGHT! That will happen almost like never. (The kicking him out of the garage part.) My suspension is almost completely apart except for one bolt and I think I might have to bring the air compressor and air tools with me to Steve's when I go over there next time. BTW the air compressor is one of those Craftsman portable ones.:D :D

For a street application clutch I would go with an ACT Street Disc and a HD PP. I had this setup in my 200 and it was great. Now I have a B15 clutch and PP in my Sentra and that kicks but too. I think both are similar and provide the same pedal feel. Unless your car is throwing out huge HP numbers then stick with something simple as the others will be really stiff and just a PITA. Just do your self a favor and get a good one for your everyday needs.

Clutch Net Hyper Clutches or ACT! I can get you either! Hyper Clutches are a little less expensive and offer the same performance!

Personally, I can't stand the JWT PP. Its so soft its ridiculous!!!
I prefer the tough guy feel of the Centerforce Dual Friction Bad Boy!!!!!

Hey Rob, you forgot to mention that my JWT setup has 46K miles on it already...I like it a lot, and recommend it, I *think* it can hold up to 250 hp, so unless you're going to go crazy on hp, I think its a good setup.
