: 93-94 Front Air Dam
RySE-R 1 04-24-2002, 08:27 PM I just came back from the dealer today after having ordered a new front air dam. I specified that I wanted the 93-94 version, but I'm not completely sure they ordered the right one. It cost $188 from them. Anyone know the part number for the 93-94 air dam?
sobert 04-24-2002, 11:19 PM I have heard that the replacement part is a cross between the early and late SE-R parts. Your parts guy should be able to tell you that the old part and new part are superseeded by the same part number.
Here are the part #s that I have on my fiche:
62022-5b025 early cars
62022-5b525 late cars
Hi Ryan, I've got the 94 style bumper at my palce. I bought it from the dealer new. (It awaits my paint job) Its the one with the larger lower section. I will post the partnumber as soon as I get home pal.
Good choice
;)
RySE-R 1 04-25-2002, 11:42 AM Thanks, Ralph. I'll have to check the receipt that has the part number on it to make sure it is right. As soon as I get the new air dam then I can get my car repainted (red again but a little deeper red). Can't wait! Of course I'll post pics when it's done.:)
Hi Ryan, okay here is that part number as promised.
62022-5B525 Bumper Fascia W
Yes this is the one with the large lower spoiler a.k.a. the bulge.
I paid $179.28 for it at Southern States Nissan in Raleigh NC.
I would have used Brian at Courtsey but, I figured the shipping would more than make up for the savings.
It comes in a dark grayish color.
Hope this helps bro.
RySE-R 1 04-25-2002, 11:27 PM Thanks, man! Yeah 179 is a good price. I paid 188 for mine, but then it only came out to 200 even with tax. Cheap for an air dam 'cause of the not having to pay for shipping!
Stirpicult 04-28-2002, 07:17 PM 180-190 should be right. I got mine from Mike Pallone Nissan when Barry (sorry, forgot his last name) was sponsored by them. I got like 25% off. I had to carry it down 95 on my roof with my buddy and I holding on to it. Kinda of funny. Another funny story about receiving one of those. When Jason Young got his from courtesy, they messed the shipping and handling up, and when he got the bumper, on the box was written something to the effect of "no profit made on this one"
anyways...the other ones are considerably cheaper iirc. like 150 or less.
shumax 04-28-2002, 07:47 PM Are you guys saying the ENTIRE front bumper on a 94 SE-R costs $180-200? I mean the entire bumper skin?
ziegler2000 04-28-2002, 07:52 PM That's what they said! :D
shumax 04-28-2002, 07:57 PM Where can I get one? I live near Columbus Ohio---Mansfield. I am looking for a front bumper for a 94 SE-R. Thanks!

Well if you want a perfect one I'd call a couple of your local dealers and see how much they want for it. Strange but parts vary in price from one dealer to the next. If they want too much you could always try a salvage yard but, its hard to find them in great shape.
P.S. If I remember correctly, a 94 Sentra SE will have the same bumper skin as the SE-R.
Good luck in your search.
Stirpicult 04-28-2002, 09:00 PM i think a couple models in 94 came with that skin. i seem to remember seeing a 4 door with one.
RySE-R 1 04-28-2002, 09:47 PM Okay. I got my new bumper. Now my only problem is how am I going to get it all the way up to Chicago (about 2 hours)? Will it fit inside the car if I have the front seat all the way back and I have it laying across the front and back seats? Could I put it in the trunk and use bungee cord hooks to keep it in there?
Stirpicult 04-28-2002, 09:49 PM lay the seat down and itll wrap around the drivers seat very neatly. thats how i took mine from dc to blacksburg, and blacksburg to richmond. works great. you can even buckle it up:)
Sorry took mine home in a pu along with my new hood.
Have a good trip and drive careful bro, I dont want to hear about any tickets! :p
Pedro93 04-29-2002, 02:15 PM guys I paid $130 for mine through a dealer around my area. He was giving discounts to peeps on nissanboards. He will also ship anywhere. if you interested let me know and I will give u the phone number when I get home.
shumax 04-29-2002, 02:19 PM Give me the number or call him and tell him I am interested for $130 plus about $30 to ship. :D
SERfanatic 04-29-2002, 05:26 PM :D Yeah, me too. Hit me up with the # that's a great price. Here around my area they want between$180-200 for the bumper.
RySE-R 1 04-29-2002, 05:59 PM Damn, I wish I had known about this BEFORE! That's my luck.
Also, I was thinking about getting an Impreza style hood scoop put on my hood when I get my car re-painted next week. They said it would cost about $150 for the scoop and about about $500 total including the labor. It is a very reputable body shop.
Do you think it's worth the money? FYI, I may decide to install a Pulsar GTI-R engine with the top-mount intercooler someday in the future, but that's a long way off unless my engine blows up tomorrow, knock on wood).
Your thoughts?
