i just installed my new g4 headers and my place cai intake. when I started the car up it wouldnt idle so I was ok..i will just raise it up. so I raise is up and everything when fine. I got up this morning and went out to start the car and it did the same thing so once again I raised the idle. when I got in my car this afternoon it did it again. I then reved the car up for about 30 sec. Then it started idled fine again. The car kepts on doing this but I repeat the reving and it works great. I put some fuel injecters cleaner in my car the when I was putting the cai and headers on. What would you guys thing the problem is? Could it be that I need new fuel injecters or what? Thanks Aaron

How long did you wait before you turned up the idle? I know that when I did mine, it idled funny but the computer had to adjust to the changes that I made. The only thing I can think of is go back over what you did and double check everything is hooked up( o2 sensor, mass air flow, ambient air sensor etc.)

yeah I doubed checked everything. the only thing I found was a loose bolt in the header but I tightened it up but that shouldnt have anything to do with it at all. hmmmm.......

it has often been argued, but i feel that disconnecting the batt for 2-3 hours (resets the ECU) helps the car remap the way you drive and how it is expected to respond. i seriously doubt anything is wrong w/ the fuel injectors. be sure there are no gaps in the CAI after the MAF, that will give you unmetered air...that's a very bad thing, trust me. headers have nothing to do w/ intake or idle, so i doubt the prob is there. i would get a timing gun that has the ability to check idle rpms and check your "true" idle setting (also check the timing since you've got the gun ;) ). lemme know what happens after the batt has been disconnected, though. i know that has solved other peoples probs ** (including my own).
