What does this mean?
I am buying a BB DET with a T25 turbo on it. Not looking to upgrade but to run at stock spec. Im thinking about putting an Audi 5000 turbo intercooler in. Anyone seen this before or thought of doing it?
I have a '93.5 Infiniti G20 and would buy a Starion cooler but we dont have that model in Canada.

Suggestions and thoughts would help.

thanx

CFM is cubic feet per minute. If I remember correctly, the t25 can flow around 350 CFM. Bigger intercoolers can flow more, i.e. they'll have a higher CFM rating.

I have 2 of the Audi units. I will be getting them on a flow bench in the near future and will let you know the cfm.

So do you have the intercooler out of the 200 turbo or the 5000 turbo? If so which years?
Also do you plan on using the two intercoolers in the one setup sequentially, you plan on merging the two intercoolers into one or you just have two coolers and will only be using one?'

Let me know how it flows. I was doing some homework on that turbo system to day and it says that it can push 1.8bars while the DET only does 1 bar. Hopefully this will work.

They are both off of 5000's. I think one will end up on my VW diesel.like this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1823768601) These are 2 pass units with plastic end tanks. The inlet and outlet come off at weird angles.

I kinda' like the Mk-III Supra IC ('88-92?). Flows and cools well enough for a lot of power (I've seen 400), and the pressure drop (also a problem with some FMICs) really isn't that bad.Intercooler Flow Test (http://home.earthlink.net/~turbogus2/intercoolers.html)Okay, so a leaf blower isn't exactly a lab tool, and I don't exactly put a whole lot of faith in his results; it's just a quick "Hey, lookie here" link, okay? :) It also has a really good picture of the Supra FMIC so you know what to look for...
