Thanks to Greg - AKA - SERprise in WV, I am now the proud owner of a Pacesetter Header.
Hey Greg check out my sig now! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Oh and where were the washers for the other spring compression fitting? Just kiddin' I had some sitting around.

Well here is the quick and dirty.

The install went OK.

The good:

- It is installed
- It looks good (pics to come)
- I did it myself

The bad:

- Fukn' EGR tube was a bitch to get threaded into the PS header
- EGR leaks slightly because its not completely tightened due to incorrect wrench. Will fix this tomorrow
- CAT bolt came out with the stud. Still using the stripped stud. Seems ok. BUT, need to replace with bolt and nut when time permits.
- My hands are sore as hell!
- Only drove it for about 10 mins before I came home to settle in for the night, put my kid to sleep and sepnd time with my wife.

Actually did feel a little better low end response. That is about it since I didn't get on it enough for top end feel.

Pics to come soon!

Glad you're happy, Brandon. :D

Yes, the EGR tube is a PITA. I do not miss mine at all. I actually enjoyed tossing it in the dumpster last week. :)

Theres is no doubt that the Paceheader an awesome mod.
SCC says it only put out 3hp on their test but I disagree.
IT WAS A COVER UP!!!!!!!!!

Im glad the install went well, Brandon.
Good job outting the kid to sleep and spending time with the wife too. I understand. You gotta do alot of juggling around.
Enjoy your POWAH!!!!!!!!!!

Yea and I am still trying to stop the pain. My hands are so tore up and sore because of that DAMN EGR tube.

Gotta tighten the EGR tube and test it out today. Then I can see what improvements it gives.

If the EGR still leaks you can always try some high temp Copper RTV. :D
Plaster that stuff on there and screw it on the best that you can.

Yes the EGR tube is a All Around bitch to install and to take out of the exhuast manifold but the 2nd time I installed a PS header I learned a new trick.
loosen the bolts holding the EGR tube to the intake manifold .
start the EGR tube in the header.......OK now start the bolts in the Intake Manifold........Alot easier to start the Intake Manifold bolts than to line up the EGR tube to the header.
This must have saved me at least 30 minutes and alot of flustration.

Well, I was able to get the correct open end wrench and tighten the EGR down. No more leak there. I bought a bolt/nut for the stripped cat stud and am going to try and do that tomorrow. So far the header has proven itself and I am now overjoyed at the increased acceleration and overall performance of the header. Great buy!
