Well. I went against my own rules recently and went with a cheapo clutch cable. It was the day before the drags and I felt it was in need of replacing. The Nissan one was going to take 3 days to get or I could spend 25 beans and get this one...

The story behind it all. I left work today like any other. I went to shift into 2nd and heard a snap. The pedal went to the floor. I knew immediately my car had rejected the cable like a bad organ. So I was dry shifting till I came to a red light. There was no way I was getting ho,e at this rate. I ended up pulling over to see what snapped. I saw the pin that goes through the arm for the clutch arm had disappeared. It was on top of my tranny, sheared. I just cleaned out my car so I had nothing to stick through it for temp. The telephone pole next to me had the thick copper wire sticking out of it. So I bent it and bent it till it broke. Stuck it in and it got me home.

awww, weakling, you can drive w/o a clutch. When my clutch lever broke, I dry shifted for at least 50 miles including a trip to Nissan.

To stop the car, slow till you can rev-match into 1st (it's important you get it into 1st before the car stops). Then turn off the ignition and coast to a stop. While in first, use the starter and gas petal to get the car moving again and rev-match each gear. :D

Lol, thought about it. Just hurts to think about though. I'm getting my money back for the pos and getting an OEM.

The funny thing about this is, he is always a stickler about the OEM and never the
aftermarket.
Why Jake, you always tell me never aftermarket. You of all people :tsk: /
