: What size oil line??

I think I may have too small of an oil line going to my turbo. I've fried 2 center sections in 2 weeks!! I don't see what else it could be. I used a line that is between 1/16"- 1/8" stainless braid. The other line I had was between 1/8"-3/16" and I had no problems. I didn't think this would be a problem...but I guess it is. I've got plenty of pressure on the line itself so I don't think that's it. And I tapped off of the oil sending unit on the back of the block. I plugged the hole in the front of the block.
Any tips?

anyone?? I've got a 1/4" I.D. hose and with the fittings it knocks it down to roughly 3/16" on the ends. Will this suffice?
Thanks

Travis--

I wouldn't *think* that line size would matter much, in that you need a .060 restrictor in that line anyway. Only so much oil can get through a .060 sized hole at any given time under the same pressure, regardless of line size.

That's my take on it, anyways. I have a -3AN steel braided line feeding my T28, with the .060 restrictor in there. -3AN is a 3/16" line.

Hope this helps.

I also have a question concerning oil lines.

I got my manifold out few days ago, so all the oil in it went. Now I want to know something:

If I crank the engine (fuel pump fused disconnected, only with starter) for 30-45 seconds, will it be sufficient enough to make the oil recirculate again? Same thing for coolant I suppose...
