I am installing a NOS 5122 Dry manifold kit within a few weeks and I am curious which NGK spark plugs to use. The 6BKRE's??? I figure I need to go 2 ranges colder for a 50 hp shot right?? And at what gap? .30 or .40?? Any help input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

NX says to use a .35 gap if possible. Under 75hp shot one range colder is fine.

Call NOS tech support that should be able to help you with your dry kit (that's about all they could help you with)

BK11-6's right?

I forgot the part number now..

I've gotten most the answers I need. Thanks again though. I'm moving to a wet kit upgrade and gapping at .038.

I'm using these BKR6E-11s now. They come pregapped but I changed the gap down to around .030. They seem okay for now.

My question is:

Is the car supposed to run like shit when it's cold with these plugs? When I first start my car in the morning it runs like total ass. Once I've driven it for 5 minutes or so, it runs well again.

That is most likely due to the tighter gap. If you took them back out to .035 you should notice that will go away. The reason they want you to bring the gap down is to prevent misfiring with the increased cylinder pressures the NOS will present. Shouldn't hurt anything to run the .030 gap, just needs to warm up in the morning. Some of the turbo motors under high boost will even need to go as tight as .023 to keep them from misfing under high boost.

good info, thanks... yeah, when I first start the car it runs terrible but 5 minutes into traffic it runs great... I'm glad to know that it isn't anything else causing trouble
