I'm thinking of going Nitrous on my Primera motor and was wondering what the right and best kit was for me. I need the car to be a daily driver so I have to be reasonable with everything. I only want the nitrous for track use. I am also not loaded with money so I need an inexpensive kit also. Thanks for everyones help.

Have fun and keep it safe,
Sterling

A Nissan EFI kit shouldn't cost more than $469. But you'll get best performance out of it if you add the GenX option. It includes a automatic bottle heater, NHRA blow-down tube and cap and nitrous pressure gauge. All total it should run just about $730 or so. I would add either a MSD Windows RPM switch or a Jacobs Nitrousmastermind which has a RPM swtich bulit-in and is a progressive controller to allow a much bigger shot to be use on a stock clutch and street tires. It's like traction control for nitrous.

If that cost a bit too much, I would look at the ZEX Nissan kit or NOS universal dry nitrous kit.

But I really would recommend NX. It's the best wet kit on the market, period and you'll make more torque with it than with a dry kit and you don't have to upgrade you injectors to use more than 50-60hp shot. The SR20 is very strong and as long as you don't detonate, you should able to do a pretty heffy shot of nitrous.

Once you get over 75hp, I would really think about a progressive controller. If people understood that they totally improve peformance and allow more nitrous to be use, you'll also use less overall nitrous per run and it's the key to saving your clutch and running good E.T's without buying a set of slicks.

Other tips -

Get the 15lbs bottle upgrade if you can swing it. It's REALLY worth .3-.5 tenths of a second in ET becaus the pressure drop isn't as hard with a larger bottle. Just ask the Pro Mod guys.

If you can't swing the GenX option, at least get an NOS or ZEX bottle heater! Bottle heaters aren't just for cold weather they can be used for nitrous tuning also.

I know a fair amount about the subject, just e-mail me if got any questions.

NX, has larger solenoids..Really good set up..You might want to start saving up for a stronger clutch..Purge valve is not that important but make sure you get a bottle warmer and gauge..really makes a difference.
