I was at a Midas shop today and talked to the manager about their fuel injector cleaning. They clean the throttle body and then hook the car up to their cleaning fluid and run it for awhile on the cleaning fluid. They claim it cleans the injectors, fuel rail and intake system. Has anyone heard anything about this procedure or had it done?

You probably don't need it. Some injector cleaners are harmful to the OE units, and the throttle body is something you can do yourself.

But, paying Midas do it is reason enough to steer clear.

Midas monkeys can touch my car when either:
1. I'm dead.
2. There is no number two. :p
