I'm new to mechanics, and I'm trying to pull a fuel pump from my parts car to swap with the one in my car. This is temporary until I can afford a new one. The access panel was easy. The first part came off with a little strugle, but the actual fuel pump won't let go. Is there a trick? Possibly a screw that I'm not seeing? I have more cuts on my hand than the crocodile hunter. I'm ready to take a hammer to it! *laugh*
Help!

no screws. no tools.
you should be able to lift the top end ( the end with the wiring ) up towards you and then pull it out. There is a little tab thing on the top end opposite of the wiring that may be catching, and spoiling your efforts.

thanks, actually what I was doing was I disconected the 2 pieces of the plastic housing unit thingy, pulled the pump and 1 half of the housing out. Then I was trying to put it back together inside the tank because I didn't realize that the second part came off as well. After I figured it out it was a cinch, next time It'll be way easier.
