im using NGK PFR5B-11 plugs right now and the insulator part above the threaded part is turning dark brown...is this normal or should i use a different plug....when the ac is off the car idles down and dies, but with the air on, the car wont stall, any ideas why?

try NGK 6 plugs. They are a little colder than a 5. Not as cold as 7. Most dealers don't carry them. Courtesy does. Nissan filters are good but aftermarket sould be just as good. You are in Texas. Call Courtesy. Or drive there :D
