Alright guys so about a week ago my NX started to act weird. I was driving home and the car started to loose power and not accelerate. Than it would kick back in and go out again. Under full throttle there was nothing and under very light loads it would come back sometimes. So i watched the fuel pressure guage and reved the motor. It was jumping around and actually went down to 25 psi. So i got a new walbro 255 and installed it. Well the car started up and it ran again. I took it for a drive and suddenly it started doing the same thing. I nursed it home and popped the hood. The pressure was at 20. (car was off) Than i turned the key so the pump would prime. Well the pressure went up to 32psi. and than started dropping while the key was on. It dropped all the way to 12psi. I'm now really confussed at what could be going on.

Sounds like a def. leak in teh fuel system.

It is possibly that an injector insulator/O-ring may have ruptured, causing a leak

Also if the return line was kinked a little would it cause this problem?

Are you loosing fuel out anywhere else on the vehicle? Pinched line or small hole in a hose due to install or age? Just stabbing in the dark. The fuel rail like they said above?

Another question. Notice how the return goes into the housing for the B14. Is that supossed to be the same for the B13?

Theoretically, it could be causing "backpressure" in the system. Which would definitely cause surging!

Does anyone who did a B13 install have any pictures or anything? Is the return tube supossed to fit into somewhere in the tank like the B14?

The metal hose in the middle.

Update:

I found a leak in the return line. I fixed the hose and it holds pressure now. So i took it out for a drive and the car still breaks up and looses power. The fuel pressure still drops when under load.

Id say scope out the resistance of your injectors

One of yours may be sticking open.

How is your grounding point for the fuel pump? If it is flaky at all, it can cause what will exhibit like a bad fuel pump.

Hope this helps!
