I plan on purchasing a new se-r spec v very soon. Does anyone know which motors will fit without any major mods? I was thinking something with balls, like a 300zx motor.
Any help would be great. thnx.
Alex.

300zx motor's surely too long ; sounds like a harness and motor mount nightmare
stay in the sr20 family - be true to its blood ;)

He's talking about a QR25DE Se-R.
Try swapping with a 2.5 Altima!;)
Why would you want to swap a motor out before you've even lived with it?
Its your prerogative, but no one here is going to answer you. I doubt anyone with less than at least $10k even has the disposable income to de-engine a new 2k2 car running fine with a warranty.
That being said, a 3.5L Altima engine *might* fit (try it!).
As for the Z engine, there's a basic non-rich guy's principle that a RWD engine cannot fit in a FWD car. The layout is 90 degrees different. And if you have to ask how much money it would take to work, you don't have enough.
Seriously.

That was funny hehe... Oh well I got a question.. Is it easier to swap the fwd than rwd sr20? Me and my friend have been swapping sr20 on a rwd... I just wanted to know if its easier to do it on fwd because we haven't done it. I am planning on swapping a JDM motor on my 95 b14. Peace
