I know a common hop-up is putting high port SR20 cams in a low port, but ther are a couple of other things I have been wondering about:
Would Bluebird cams be any better than regular SR20 cams? I know 10:1 primera cams have 1 more degree of duration, could these be the same ones as a bluebird DET? If they were better, maybe BB cams would be an even better mod for low ports. Maybe better for high ports too, but I douby any serious gains could be had.
Also, GTi-R cams are incompatible wiht our motors because they are roller rockers, but aren't very late SR20s roller rocker too? Would the GTi-R cam work in one of these late SR20s?
Just wondering........................

i do not remember the specs, correct me anyone, if this is wrong.

the pulsar gtir cams came from SR's w/ mechanical lifters and where being used on high-port B13's/NX's w/ hydraulic liftersand where being sold around the mid - 90's by nissan motorsports and Stillen, i think they where advertising 3-5 HP gain. the idle on a high port classic was very noticeable, sounded mean. S3's on a high port are much quieter.

i remember on the first SER-CA sponsored Dyno event at Dan Paramore Racing's place. Bob Seeckts had the cams and i did not, other than that we had identical mods i/h/e - him - 137.+ mine 141.+

that doesn't sound worth it!

if only SR16VE head would work on a SR20DE block with an N1 tranny. that'd be sick:cool:
