LOVE the A-pillar mounted fire bottle that can become a 500mph projectile INTO YOUR FACE should the airbag go off

There's an Accord locally that looks *just* like that.. slightly different color, but same hood, same stupid ass fire extinguisher.

I've seen it around for over a year now, it's been keyed twice and his 12" high wing was ripped off (literally ripped) about a month ago..

I'll never understand it..

Besides the dangerous A-pillar fire bottle, something else I've seen lately are four-pt belts with the shoulders anchored down on the floor behind the front seats. This type of mounting can lead to spinal compression injuries - possibly even if you hit something head-on.

A lot of people think that shoulder belts are for roll-overs - there were some safety seminars in the rally community a while back covering some mis-conceptions surrounding harnesses. The short version is that:

1) shoulder belts are primarily for frontal collisions,
2) lap belts primarily for roll-overs (secondarily for anti-submarine)
3) anti-sub belts are for - anti-submarining,
4) the shorter the distance from your shoulders to the mount points for the shoulder belts, the better.

The national rally rules in Canada stipulate that the mount points should ideally be 10 degrees down from a horizontal line going back from your shoulders and never more than 45 degrees.

Just in case you were wondering...

Couldn't you make something for that hood to use the ram air on a bb det top mount? I would think it would work. How much shit could people give ya for having this hood if it were functional and you DID have a det under there?

or you could just shit can it and not worry about it.. and perhaps apologize....if they say " dont hate the player ..hate the game"
then yes i hate the game...and refuse to play it!! along with several others i believe...
