Well, after working in the rain on sunday, my friends and I put in my GC/AGX combo. I went with the 350/300 GC setup. First off, my old suspension, was shot. The Eibachs are in good shape, but 3 of the 4 tokicos were blown. Tokicos are the worst shock ever for the classic, if you need shock/struts, get the AGXs.

The install went very smoothy, as i grinded the the AGXs a day before hand. I used the duct tape-silicone method, and i dont hear a peep from the front or rear. The ride is nice, i like it. I was bouncing all over the place with the old setup, and this setup is just great. I didnt lower the car too much, it sat where the eibachs were in the front, but in the rear i raised the car a little. I am sure that the car will settle after a few days, and then I will see if i want to keep it where it is. I also bought new strut mounts, bearings and truechoice bumpstops. I will be auto-xing on this setup with in the next 2 weeks but for now this is a great bang for the buck setup!

Just curious about how long the installation took. This will be my next mod, I will be doing it sometime this summer. Also, I was wondering about the alignment. Did you check/set it after the install? Mine is not real good with the tired stock setup. Is it possible to DIY or is it better to take it to a shop?

It took us about 3.5 hours in total. We could have done it in probably 2, but we were BSing and playing around. I had just put on 16s, so my alignment was already off, but now its alot better than it was. If you enjoy working on your car, DIY. It takes a little time to grind down the struts, and you need a spring compressor as well. Also, if your car is old, get new strut mounts and bearings as well...

Thanks for the info. I hope that I will be able to get time off work to head to Vancover and get some help. Sometimes helpers are really just there to drink your beer and make the job take longer, but it is always more fun that way.
