i wanted to get some of you guys opinion on what brand to get for some new tires. i live in socal, so i dont see any snow here. i am going to stick with 205/50/15 size wise. i been looking at the Fuzions, but not decided or convinced. i also dont want to spend a lot for tires.

Most people will tell you Falcen Ziex 512. This usually seems to be the most used tire. Here's where they are usally the cheapest>>> http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?cf=false&sw=false&cs=205&pc=28735&rd=15&ar=50

Proxes 4 are all season tires, so the "shouldn't" be as sticky as a summer only tire.

Never used either one, so ymmv.

I have the V rated one. I know its too much cause im not going to go over 165 mph, probably a Z rated one will do. I hear a lot f good things about the fusions to. Its very good for how much they are selling it. As well as the G-force all weather.

I hope you guys that are reccommending the ziex 512 have ridden on them before you throw the name out there. Those tires suck, the sidewall is soft as can be. Your car will not handle very well if you drive aggressive at all, and you will not be able to do any autocross.

One tire I DO reccommend and have on my car now : Yokohoma AVS es 100.. for that size I got them shipped for 320 or so???

Didn't mean to come across as a Di*k, but those tires in my opinion are not made for any fun driving.

Not in 15's, but in 16's. I like them, but it seems like they're wearing out pretty quick.

i have had traction issues with the proxie 4's. but only in the rain, in nice weather they are one of the best all around tires ive ever had.

The Ziex512's suck.... Go with with the Fuzions if it comes down to price. The AVS ES100's are insanely good in the rain :biggthump

hey....the fuzion zri's are awesome for the street. they grip real well in the dry, awesome awesome in the rain. no snow ***. the 512's can't compare in the dry. your looking at an a/s tire (falken) vs. a performance summer tire (fuzion = bridgestone). i ran both on my car. i loved the fuzions. loved the falkens but that was last winter. now i'm on to bfg gforce sports and i love those too but the sidewall is a little squishy. go with the fuzions if you don't have to do snow
