Hi guys-i'm having some se-rious problems adjusting my idle on my pulsar det. I've tried the factory service manual procedure and it's no good.
I can' t get it to idle under 1300rpm accept when the throttle position sensor is disconnected. When it's disconnected i can get it to run at about 900rpm but it is lumpy as hell! Then when i connect the sensor back up it returns to 1300 again.
I've checked the tps/maf voltages and they are in spec. Any ideas?!!
Thanks
Brent

Man I got almost the same problem. I got a fully built BB det bored out 87mm with all the goodies metal HG 8.0:1 CR blah blah blah fully built. and when i first start it up it idles high like 1600rpm and when i let go the clutch it goes to 1300 and when I first start driving it it hesitates under light throttle and according to the apex boost guage it is at about in 5 on the vacuum side. But once i let off the throttle and give it heavy throttle more than 30% according to the AFC the shit works fine, starts spooling and i am flying. so that happens for the first 15-20 min of driving. Hesitation under light throttle and no problems under heavy throttle. but after 15 minutes light and heavy throttle work just fine. any ideas or suggestions. I checked all vacuum lines, tps and MAFS sent my ECU back to JWT and it came back ok so what do you guys think. Idle stop screw adjustment? longer intake pipe? o2 sensor jammed up??? who knows man.

Sounds like your o2 sensor may be screwing up. Some body told me it works on a loop until the car gets hot. So if it only runs bad until it gets warmed up then that might be your probelm.
Why do our cars idle at a certain speed then when you let out the clutch in nutrul the rpms go down?
