Well I called pacesetter to find out what diameter the pipe going to the cat was and his first words were:
"Why do you want that?" Like I'm a freakin' idiot or something.
So, I stated that it leaks ever so slightly at the compression fitting and I wanted to put a donut gasket in there to seal it off.
He then proceeds to tell me that they don't provide a gasket for the spring compression fitting (ball/socket joint) and he needed to know which pipe I was talking about because the ball and socket are different and the flare side is larger than the ball side and this and that and this and that and on and on and onWTF?
HEY DUMB ASS, JUST TELL ME WHAT THE FREAKIN INNER DIAMETER IS OF THE PIPE USED! and I'll hang up and not call you back or taken any more of your time. IS IT THAT FREAKIN' HARD?
He put's me on hold for about 2 mins. Comes back and then decided to tell me all about how they are now making their header in house in AZ and no longer in Mexico and that they have no future plans to make the SR20DE header again and that they have none in stock and on and on and SHUTUP ALREADY!.
So if you are waiting for one backordered from JC Whitney or NOPI. Don't hold your breath. Prob' will never get it.
I finally just say, could you please tell me what size piping you used on the SR20 header. I tell him I don't care about the ball and socket size, just the pipe. "We use 2" piping on that." Took him approx 15 mins to tell me that. Jeez!
So I go to Napa, buy a 2" soft metal donut gasket go back to work and find that the DUMBASS was wrong and that the piping is actually 2.25" diameter.
Thanks for the information SmoothDaddy! :D Going back to Napa to get a 2.25" donut instead.
