: 1992 se-r for sale. orig. owner
brooklnron@aol. 10-04-2006, 11:18 PM hi:
I am the original owner of a WHITE 1992 Nissan SE-R. It has 90,988 miles as of today 10/5/06. This car does NOT have ABS or a SUNROOF as I believe that was the only available option package. I can't say the car is mint because that is very subjective, but it is EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY CLEAN. Never smoked in, never in an accident. Everything works. A/C blows real cold.
Work performed: condensor leaked installed new Nissan part. New Nissan oem windshield 3 yrs ago, magnacor 8mm wires, Stillen K/N Mass Air, Stillen Short Shifter, Borla SS muffler, ECU UPGRADE, Redline tranny fluid, Stillen shock tower strut bar, Dunlop sport tires, Alpine am/fm cassette with 6 cd changer. Car was maintained by a Honda mechanic doing work on the side and by me doing oil changes, rotating tires etc.
I was 41 when I purchased the car so it was definitely adult driven. I have service records from the day I picked it up in a little book with dates, mileage and pricing. Its first 11 years the car was under a car port and the last 4 in a garage attached to my home.
The car is excellent in and out and its killing me to sell it. Just as in sports an athlete knows when "its time" to hang 'em up. Well after 15 years its time. In 5 short years this SE-R known as the "Classic" will be just that, a real classic. I will be getting a new Civic SI around Thanksgiving. My price is $4K and please, its not negotiable. I live in Easton, PA 18045. Please contact me at brooklnron@aol.com. Regards....

Aren't you the guy a few years back who ALREADY had a clean maroon classic and sold it and bought a 240?
SHOOOO, Shumax!
shumax 10-06-2006, 07:12 PM Close, but no cigar!
I did have a very clean maroon 93 that was in great shape; but, I sold it b/c space was limited and I was having to store it, which was driving me nut. read---$$. I *wish* I had 1.) the space and 2.) the 240SX:D
I'm actually also inquiring on....GULP....a local 92 Civic Si with 70k on it. Looks mint and it's going for $4k. Not sure I want to make the switch, but the hatch version in that year----especially in black---looks killer.

I didn't say I was buying it. ;)
Trust me, I'd much prefer an SR powered vehicle to toy with; this Si just looks too nice to NOT consider. Maybe I could slap and SR20DET in it!:D

brooklnron@aol. 10-06-2006, 11:32 PM hi:
just to keep everyone up to speed from all the emails I'm getting my car has NO RUST except for a little spot under the pass. window gasket. hardly noticable and I shouldn't even mention it because Rust has the same ill effects on people as CANCER does and its so very very minimal. it has the orig. water pump, shocks, radiator, alt, starter (with squeal), rims, calipers, rotors (never cut) "B" pipe. The "A" pipe was changed about 2 yrs ago because the heat shield was making noise so I told my mechanic just throw a new pipe on and use Nissan OEM.
I changed the original post that said Borla exhaust to Borla SS muffler and I recently installed a Stillen short shifter (took me 14 1/2 years to get that!). It has the optional arm rest. I have changed the CV boots(once), both belts (once), condensor(once), brakes (once each fr/rear), valve cover gasket (july '06), both lenses (had the se-r condensation problem 8 yrs ago) and recently my first rear light bulb (1157). My last interstate battery lasted 7 yrs and I changed it just because it was 7 yrs old. I put the same exact battery in 2 yrs. ago. If you need real specific data I'll look in my service book.
Driving around PA I get a bread and butter 28.5 mpg combo of Interstates at 80 mph and local roads at 40 mph. Also get 32-34MPG if I take it easy on the Interstate. My farthest trip was to St. Louis from Brooklyn and I averaged 33 mpg. Well you guys know all that stuff. Lastly I live 20 minutes from Allentown, PA. Regards...Ron
