this section is lookin' like a ghost town! i thought i'd post some useless info just to make it look like we have somethin' going on. i recently swapped my clear corners for the real mccoy...the mexican/sunny corners. much cleaner looking. since the demise of the nis-knacks corners, these are our best alternative, and they're worth it, IMO. i have some pics, just have to use the rest of the film first. i also recently painted my brakes. i used really hi-temp paint...black bbq grill paint (1200 deg)! much better looking than the rusted silver look i had **. pics of that are on the same roll of film. :D

Was it a pain to take out the orange (here comes the technical term) "THINGY" out of the corner? How much and where did you get them from?
Martin
Damn man, seems like we're some of the only ones that post on this section.

ahh yes, the orange bulb reflectometer!! ;) :D
actually, the dremel tool made it fairly easy. the pain was tryin' to get the stock bulb housing to fit the opening of the lamp. the housing that comes w/ it has only 2 connecter pins, whereas ours have three. so, you have to use our bulb housing w/ the new lamp. to make matters more fun, the grooves that the housing uses are also different (3 on the mexi-lamp, 4 grooves on ours). but again dremel came in handy. i would not buy these unless you have access to a dremel tool. i bought them from the ever awesome greg vogel @ mossy in oceanside for $80. true they aren't as inexpensive as the regular clears on the market, and you certainly don't have to put any work into those, but once i post pics you will agree, they look soooo much cooler!

OH!! I almost forgot about this Sentra SE forum LOL. Hey which bulbs you guys use for your corner blinker lights on the 99-SEL is it the 1156 or 1157 I bought some polargs from a ricer shop and they told me they will fit but Im skeptical *** the writing on the box is japanese it says M-9 12volt 27watt and I have the courtesy Clear corners

The 1157's are for the corners. The 1156's are only used for the rear turn signal.

the 1157's are dual filament whereas the 1156 is a single filament. plus the little "nipples" in the base of the bulb are arranged differently, IIRC.

good, i wanna see the pics stiletto.
the regular cheap clear corners would just look stupid with our headlights. i hope the ones you got match a little better.
and the mossy ones don't look good *** it looks like they have raised ridges that wrap around the lense.

the lense does bulge up right in the middle and that buldge curves around a bit. not sure if that has something to do w/ light reflection or if it's merely cosmetic. really though, you have to stare @ it for a while to even notice.

I actually like the buldge. It might seem a bit ricey, but who doesn't have some rice on their car.
