Do any of you other guys here have a sagging passenger or drivers door? My driver door is so annoying that everytime I shut my door it locks my door and sometimes it won't open from the inside and I have to roll down the window to unlock it. :o
I'm thinking that one of my hinges is bad but how do you replace those? I have been told that maybe a bushing is missing but I don't see one in the passenger door so I doubt that is the problem. If it is the hinge does anyone here know how hard those are to replace? I don't have a lot of money to spend on the car so I would like to keep it cheap if possible. It appears as if I could do it myself but I think that the pib is welded on?
Any and all help is appreciated.

my driverside door sags, but not too bad. I was told that someone had the same problem and that they replaced the one henge, and I dont think it was too expensive either.... it was just a henge.

Yeah I figured it must be a common problem as it appears that the hole is out of round and causing this sagging problem. It just pisses me off because I run into the store for 5 minutes and I come out and have to unlock the door. :o
I just want it fixed also so that I can get out from the inside it's to a point now that it won't let me out without unlocking it from the outside :(

It's the hinges. This is a well known problem with the B13 2 door - they wear out after a while. Do a search on this forum and there is a bunch of stuff about it, some even written by yours truly :D I replaced the hinges in my driver's door last spring.
There's also a good write-up on Se-r.net
Hope this helps.

I don't think you have to replace the hinges. I think you just have to replace those pins. There is one on each hinge. Take a air hammer or a hammer and punch and just knock them out. They aren't real expensive. After you replace them the doors will close nice.

Well I think mine are the hinges themself. The pin appears to be fine and when I pick up the bottom of the door it moves more than it should.

Also what hinges need to be replaced? Are the ones attached to the door jamb seperate from the door hinges or not?
I think going by memory that the one attached to my door is the culprit on my door.

It was a problem with the 4 doors also. The hinges were recalled. I never got them fixed and by the time I sold the car the doors were about to fall off.

If this is indeed a recall and mine hasn't been fixed before I technically should be able to get this done. Does anyone have any information on this recall? If I can get it done for free the happier I will be.

I believe recalls do "run out" after a while. And I did get the recall card in the mail about 2 years ago. (Why do I feel like I am the only person who got one?) You could always try.

I never even heard of it being a recall...
You can't buy just the hinge pins. Buy new hinges. Take out old hinges. Put in new hinges. Problem solved.
