I just installed my oil pressure gauge(mechanical).At idle it reads like 20 or so and at wot it only goes to about 40. Is this correct? Also is there such a thing as over-tightenning the nylon tube. Thanks.

that sounds about right. I don't have the fsm handy but I think it should be about 40 at around 3.5k rpms and 11 psi at idle (oil wamed up).

I get about 15-20 psi of oil pressure at idle, and about 60-70psi at WOT. more oil pressure the better right, i spun a bearing due to not enough oil pressure last time. My gauge was reading low and i was told it was just because the line was "kinked". Guess they were wrong. check it out, better to have more oil pressure than less.
