my car is a 99 se-l i have a 98 manual tranny waiting for it

so ok i have the transmission already flywheel and clutch is no problem.

i am aware that the trans mount on the driver side near the fendder needs to be changed the "dogbone" mount also, are these the only mounts that need be changed?

is the cross member that different and needed? ecu's from a previous post are not that big of an issue (correct me if im wrong).

pedals linkage shifter boot knob etc, and rods is what i have come up with can anyone help me out if i am missing anything?

and if anyone can tell me of sites to find partss that would also be apreciated. car-part.com doesnt list everything by its exact name ive already looked and dont feel like guessing

Why the '98 tranny, there is no LSD on that one... you may want to trade up for one with it so you don't kick yourself later, just an idea....

I can think of:
Clutch Cable - like $30 or so from nissan
Make sure you have the clutch cable bracket on the tranny
Axles - I'm guessing at least one of them is different, though I could be wrong
Also flywheel bolts, the auto flywheel uses bolts that are not as long
I think the tranny bolts are differnt too, but look at the FSM for that
Don't know if the starter is different or not, but consider that....
You'll have to get the two switches for the clutch pedal assbly as well, best to steal that whole thing from a donor car....


Thats all I can think of at the moment.

well i checked in my parts dept and orederd the stuff i figure i needed so i will se what happens

i think i forgot bout the flywheel bolts!:eek:

mounts crossmember brake and clutch rods linkage etc have been ordered the fsm has no illustrations but the parts display does.

ohh and the reason the 98 is cause it was too good of a price to pass up lsd can come later going from auto to manual i doubt i'll kick myself;)
