Anyone care to comment? Bullshit? Real? Those numbers are WAY higher than any I've seen, yet still only a 15.4 in the 1/4. Does not make sense to me.

well to tell you the truth, i havent seen many dyno runs on the sentra spec v's.

Those are some good numbers though, seem about right to me.

Nissan guys have no reason to lie.... well most of us any way lol

I think that dude needs some more mods though.... :D

It's not a Dynojet 248C, so you can't really compare numbers between that dyno and other dyno's that have pulled numbers from a 248C. Dyno's are great tuning tools but you always have to take the numbers and realize they don't mean jack. They only mean something when you compare the numbers to other numbers taken from the same type of dyno. It's like comparing numbers from a 4wd dyno to a 2wd dyno.

I would have to say :bull shit". At the last SoCal SERCA Dyno Day we had a Spec V there and it didn't put out those numbers. It had like 140hp and mid 140's in torque. This was after tuning. But I'm not a Spec-V expert, I'm just reporting what I saw.

You must also realize that this was a properly broken example. Same thing when you dyno a turbo car that is green and 10K miles later you dyno it you will see a vastly different curve.

The highest Ive seen a Stock Spec V pull was a 141hp.

To an extent I agree with Terrin, different dynos are not comparable. But, The car also had 7500 miles on it and others have shown hp is increasing as the cars break in. Those are the numbers I expected the car should produce.

I've never seen a car gain 10 hp and 20 ft-lbs from a break in. 2-3 hp, sure, but not 10. And I'm not seeing a correlating drop in acceleration times. He still only got a 15.4 which is exactly what most magazines are getting.

When the #'s that car is pulling at the crank, and since its properly broken in, i see no reason why those #'s he posted arent realistic. But then again, who knows!!

Well The first run was real smooth, looks like the car was detonating on the other runs(very erratic lines). It's probably a really well built motor, sometimes the factory actually gets it right. Well at least he has a dyno sheet to flash at the nay-sayers, better than a guy here in town that says he has a NA 300hp 2.4 cavilier. Oh and he sprays 100 shot on top of that.

He didn't necessarily gain 10 hp from a break in proccess because not all Spec V baseline at 141 hp.

If you look, he DID actually post the dyno graph, so the numbers ARE real. Don't know how much the different dyno would affect things. Not by more than 5 hp I wouldn't think.
As for his 1/4 mile time. He mentioned that he is not an experienced drag racer, plus he was running on stock tires, so he could probably capable of much lower times, maybe 15.1-15.2. This doesn't seem out of line considering the Spec V weighs a few hundred lbs more than a Classic SE-R. I put out about the same hp to the wheels (but less torque) and should be running high 14's. I really don't think he's lying.
