my ECU is giving me a 115 trouble code (lean fuel mixture). i recently flipped my MAF, according to sources it helps air flow and has a SOTP increase in power. has anyone had this happen to them? seems odd that simply flipping the MAF around would throw a code, but then again these dang OBDII cars are soooo sensitive. my car is running fine, idle seems a little rough, but otherwise drives like normal. TIA

Who are your sources? I really don't see how it would help, could you explain. I did see this in the picture that you posted of that AEM intake. If I remember correctly, the MAF was flipped.

here's the link: MAF rotation (http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16718&highlight=MAF)

i cleared the MIL and am just waiting to see if it'll pop up again. i need to recheck my true idle, so that may be the reason for the rough idling.

I'm gonna try to test this out on a Dyno in a few weeks. Has anyone else Dynoed this mod that you know of?

the post hints to better torque #'s, but i haven't seen proof.

Are you sure you don't have a leak in the intake somewhere.

I've dynoed with the MAF in different directions, and it didn't show any difference. Right now, mine's turned 45 deg clockwise of stock, so the plug won't hit the shock tower with my CAI.

That was going to be my suggestion also, particularly after the MAF. Check the emissions tubes.
