hey guys. In the somewhat near future im gonna pick up an NX2000 and go ahead and either rebuild the stock engine to accomodate a turbo set up, like a T28, or go with an SR20VE.

If i go the rebuild route, Im really concerned with dependability. I want to go with crower rods (even though I hear the stock rods are sufficient )and some other heavy duty internal upgrades, just to be on the safe side. My goal is 225HP at the wheels. maybbbeeee 250.

What would be the most dependable way to go about that? The more bulletproof the better, I just dont wanna spend a small fortune on just the motor. So basically, is there a tried and true set up that would get me where I need to be, with little to no reliability concerns? Thanks guys.

With your HP goals a Properly built motor w/ the stock internals should be able to handle it-no problem.- w/the proper tuning of course!

yeah... I don't think you really have to worry about the stock internals until you push more like 325-350 whp. BUT.... if you have a motor with a lot of miles on it and don't know what kind of condition it's in, hell, go ahead and drop in some low compression pistions and new rods. A t28 will get you that HP no prob (assuming a front mount IC, proper exhaust, etc)
