How heavy does a wheel have to be before it's considered too heavy? I just found out the weight of my rims. 17.5 lbs each.

Also, anyone know the weight of the stock B13 and B14 SE-R wheels?

TIA

Chrissy, i'm ashamed!! you've never been to my website?! ;)

i have the stock titanium rims. my cheesy deduction of the weight was by weighing myself w/ and w/o the rim in my hand, on a regular digital house scale. prolly not the most accurate method! :D

B13 SE-R rims weigh in at 16.5 lbs. I weighed one on the calibrated lab scale at work (when I had a job :( )

Wow. That's relatively light. Now I feel bad about having my 19 lb 16 inch wheels on my car!

Yeah yeah. I'm gonna check it out sorry. I am ashamed also. :)

And yes I think your weighing is a little off ;)

Any weight > 0 is bad. Rotating mass is especially bad. Lighter is better, for lots and lots and lots of reasons, but you have to compromize between weight, strength, and looks. I personally wouldn't think of a 16" wheel heavier than my own 18lb stockers.
