what is the prefered route to run power wire from battery to trunk? will also need to run rcas from cd to trunk. i really to want to pay a shop $$$ to do this. its for an infiniti basslink.

My power cable was ran through the firewall where the speedometer cable goes through. Worked out well and is perfectly hidden.

Come up my way and I can install it for you for cheaper then shops. Just buy a amplifier wiring kit.:D

thanks i will try the speedo grommet, and ill keep you in mind if i have any problems. whats the best way to run a cable under the carpet? do i need to pull it up?

I ran the power through that same grommet and along the door, then ran the RCA's under the center console then under the carpet and back seat.

You could also run it under the fender where the harness goes into the car. If you look in the technical library, you will see the thread on how to relocated your battery. It will show clear pics of where you can send your power wire.

I ran my power wire through a hole above the passenger's feet, towards the middle of the car. Then I wrapped my wires in loom and ran them through the center console and underneath the carpet on top of the hump in the middle of the car behind the center console. I had to cut a notch out of the back of my center console, but it's not at all noticable once it's back in the car.

There are two little tabs on the front of the backseat where the seat meets the carpet. Pull those out with your fingers, then just lift the bottom of the backseat up. Once both sides are up it slides right out.

remember to run the signal cable down the passneger side door sill, and the power down the drivers side door sill.

How does the Basslink sound?

It sounds great, and takes up much less room than my old amp, 12" sub combo. Best part is I won it as a second chance offering on ebay for 50 bucks + 30 shipping! i thought it was a scam/would be broken, but it was perfect.
