Hi all,
Any suggestions to a very good car alarm for my classic? My 12-year-old Autopage needs to be replaced. It still works but I think I could something newer and better.

Thanks for the suggestion Ian but I don't think I want all that saliva over my interior. The "Wet Okole" seat covers only cover the front seats.

Viper 550 is good. It has all of the goodies and can be had for about 250 installed. But if you have the cash, Alpine makes some kick ass alarms.

As an installer, I recommend anything made by DEI, ie. Viper, Sidewinder, ect. Clifford is actually owned by DEI nowadays, but even then I would do anything Viper before Clifford (their wiring is just wierd...)

If you want the best alarm on earth and have some cash, then you want the Avantguard 4 from Clifford. The problem is that only certain individuals (including myself) can install this properly. Install time varies from 10-15 hours. You can remove the brain and siren and take it with you and you still won't be able start the car. It is the best.

Code-alarm is nice. Expensive but nice.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I guess Autopage is out. Now to find good prices on the models you all suggested, well at least the ones that doesn't take 10 hours to install. Bob's Viper 800ESP sounds nice.
