Does anyone know if any of the PS parts (pump and brackets) from the USDM SR20DE are interchangeable with the GTi-R parts. Basically, I need to mount the PS equipment on to a GTi-R engine. If it's not possible, is there a way to eliminate the PS pump? It's sorta hard to explain since I'm asking this for someone else (asking for someone doing a swap). Any suggestions, tips, anything? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!!

Nope it wont fit at all, tried it before. My friend mentioned to me that he just ran the lines back into each other so that the rack wont mess up otherwise find an rack with no p/s off a sentra E or something.

So how do you run the water pump? The water pump and the PS pump run off the same belt and the PS pump is what holds belt tension....

I just checked the fsm and it says to use the longer belt and use the altenator as the tensioner if w/o power steering.

Is that possible, though? The main pulley has two sets of grooves - front front one (closest to you if you're looking at the front of the engine) runs the AC, and alternator; the rear one (closest to the block) runs the WP and PS pump. And if I remember correctly (I might be wrong since I don't have the motor in front of me) the pulleys for the alt., main, and WP wouldn't line up. Right?

Unless you move the altenator to the back where the p/s pump is like others who have gotten the p/s eliminator to work since the diagram I was looking at was for a ga16de, not the sr20 since they pretty much came p/s. I think it was subculture who did it and moved the alt to the back so, just do a search i know I read it before.

Well, if we can, we'd like to maintain the PS... so, swapping the alternator isn't really an option.
