No, you dont need an SAFC if you are using a JWT ECU. But I heard JWT ECUs run a little rich, usually rich conditions cause you to lose horsepower, but they are safe. If you want to get an AFC and lean it out using a dyno and a wide band O2 and EGT settings, you can pull some more power out of it, Just IMHO. But if you don't know what you are doing, don't mess with it.

Well I have the JWT and going to put the AFC on it. LIke he said if you dont know what your doing dont get it. BUt I know alot of people who have it and also going to dyno my car. Dyno is the key...

One thing I dont like about the Afc is the 2 throttle settings cause part throttle-full boost situations. On the dyno you tune for full boost and full throttle, but at part throttle depending on your settings/crossover it might be too lean especially in 5th gear. Other points, the ecu fights the Afc after like 3-6 months time. Air is denser in the winter, so richen it up a little, also set the correct sensor settings which is hw-6 before tuning.
