: Edgewater (Cincy) May 19
Rittmeister 05-01-2002, 11:08 PM There was a thread about this a while ago, is anyone still interested? As it turns out I won't be able to make Clay City on the 5th and am looking at the 19th as a possible alternative. Drag racing and unnecessary car show. We could all meet at my place and caravan there, it's less than a half-hour away.
Anyone?
sakerocket1 05-02-2002, 08:55 PM Ill be there tommorrow on the 3rd
SERprise In WV 05-04-2002, 12:24 AM As the composer of that original post, I stand firmly committed to doing the Cincy thing on the 19th, Kent. :D
IF my car doesn't blow up on Sunday, that is.
Rittmeister 05-04-2002, 12:57 AM Sounds good Greg, anyone else?
ProjectSE-R 05-06-2002, 11:51 PM Greg talked me into it while we were at Clay CIty!! I will just have to be sure to set my AGX to full HARD this time and let some frigin air out of my tires. SHeesh, get a boost controller and you loose all sense of thinking just wanting to see what 15.3 PSI will do!!!
SERprise In WV 05-09-2002, 10:09 AM Okay, now I have a dilemna here. The day before Edgewater (on the 18th) is a local imports-only race at my 'home' 1/8 mile track. I made it to the semi-finals last year in the Quick 8, and would like to see if I can't win this thing this year. If my car can go 8.5 or quicker, I should be in the ballgame.
However...If I race at the local track, then Edgewater is out of the question the very next day. We won't finish up until 11pm or so. Just too much in too little time.
Argh.
TUNED200 05-11-2002, 11:13 PM i may be there, and does anyone know when import day is? Brian
SERprise In WV 05-12-2002, 12:54 AM Psst! Brian! The 19th IS import day at Edgewater. :D
=GP=
TUNED200 05-13-2002, 07:58 PM i will most likely be there, just in my eclipse. i think i spun a main in the se-r. comeone july, then its det time. Brian
MauiBlueGride 05-14-2002, 10:56 AM I'm in - I'll bring along Alex (red NX) and may roll down with Brian (tuned200) again....
We all ***** meet up at the park in cincy or wha???
And Greg - if driving is to much in the morning your more than welcome to crash at my place, only warning is that we are still moving in and I can only offer a futon or a couch :-P
Later
Chris
(And yes I'll bring the Snap-On Toy again)
MauiBlueGride 05-14-2002, 10:58 AM To be extra clear, the SNAP ON TOY as in engine scanner that plugs into the consult port, not a STRAP ON TOY.
Sheesh
Chris
SERprise In WV 05-14-2002, 11:22 AM Well, Chris, thank you very much for the kind offer. I just don't know you well enough, considering you might be packing a strap-on and all...
Anyhoo, here is my dilemna:
Thursday night I'm doing test-n-tune at the local 1/8th mile dragstrip.
Saturday is that same track's Imports Only race, one of 3 they have every year. Last year, I made it to the semifinals. I like making money at the track.
Sunday is Import Day at Edgewater in Cincy, some 150 miles away.
If my results on Thursday are positive, then I will probably not go to Cincy on Sunday, instead I'll stay here and focus on kicking ass at the local track for money on Saturday.
If Thursday night's results aren't too hot, then I will come to Cincy on Sunday morning for the Edgewater race. That way, I'm not racing for money, just for fun.

HAHA...LMFAO...Thats good stuff Chris!!! :D
I am working out the details for the 97 as we speak, everything is looking good and may just have the Truck roll up with me that day and then all we have to do is drag her back! By the way, it will work on a dolly right or is this a flat-bed kind of move?
MauiBlueGride 05-14-2002, 04:22 PM You've got your choice of spare honda rims/tires or spare honda rims/tires lol....
Thats all thats on the car right now, I just had a friend get me a recent set with decent tread off of a wrecked car. I would feel safe driving it a little over an hour on a dolly no biggie..... The front brakes are not attached, but the rear drums work with the e-brake (had to steal parts for sis's car a while back).
The car has sat a LONG time and never lost air out of any of the tires - again the set on the back is recent.....
Hail damage looks real nasty (had a good deal of hail from when I get it form colorado, minus the new fenders and hood that were perfect... up until the hail storm in ky a few months ago - I'm pretty sure I explained all that....
Chris
TUNED200 05-14-2002, 09:32 PM when do you move Chris, and let me know if you need help. Brian
Rittmeister 05-14-2002, 11:07 PM Please post in the other thread (May 19 Edgewater details) if you are intending to come! I'm trying to get a head-count and figure out what's up. I will also provide directions to the park, but I REALLY want to know who's coming.
THANKS!
