What heat range are all you guys running with BB setups. My setup is a 10:1 motor that will run a max of 9-10 lbs. of boost. Also, what brands do you recommend: Denso or NGK?

NGK BKR7E gapped at .030

gapping platinum plugs messes up the electrode. thats using the regular gapping tool. just letting my fellow nissan heads know from experience. you can gap em but be gentle

NGK BKR7E's are copper plugs.

Hmm...how am I crazy? Obviously I'm doing something right if I ran the time in my signature at 8 psi on a T25, with a slick that spun off the wheel during the run. So I take it you are one of those that thinks Platinum conducts better than Copper.

No one said nothing about that. Plat. has higher metling point than copper(correct me if i am wrong) and turbo motors especially nissan turbo motors run very hot so you finish the post....and your slick came off and still ran 13 secs thats talent kid where you located teach me please

copper plugs are better for turbo cars, they don't burn as hot as the platinum plugs do, so copper helps the motor run cooler.

FIne if you say so copper plugs are better for turbo cars. your the professional not me i am new to this **** take out my iridium plugs and put in some copper and see what happens

hey, I don't for sure if you will get more HP or lose HP, but your motor should last longer. Hey why don't you make a post and let us know how the copper plugs worked out for you.

try and use the NGK-7 plug, they are great sparkplugs.

Hmm.. well, didn't you say you made 290 whp at 5 psi on a T22? Maybe we should all go to iridium plugs! I could have made close to 500 whp with those!

I was just messing with my boy... he's mad cause my motors got built before his and i said i was puttin out 250whp @ 7lbs w/t25 but he thought my motor was plain stock. sorry simon, the motor is worked from shotpeened and polished crank, rods pistons to swirl polished valves, shaved head, metal head gasket ,8.0:1 comp ratio, bored to 2.1 87mm etcetcetc I was just playin when i sid iwas doin that hp w/ that turbo and 5lbs. ;) ;)

uhhmmm....if you are melting any plug, copper or platinum, you have more to worry about than the heat range of your plug.

platinum lasts longer, however, copper has less resistance. the BKR7Es ran much better in my car than the PFR6-11s. felt much better off boost, and those plats were only 8K old.

i bought the BKRs because they are much cheaper, and i will most likely be replacing them every 10k miles anyway, plat or copper.

i have BKR7Es gapped at .030, and they have come no where near melting, even for an accidental 14 psi run with 370's.

Yup, I love the BKR7E's. I'm in San Diego.

You bought that car the way it was. The guys nephew told me he had that all done and i remember he posted on carbuyers in sept but didnt sell it until 3 weeks ago, which he told me was about 5.5k and I saw your ad on thepartstrader for $10000. Anyways Damian and Kenny sat in my car and drove you car, somehow your monster has some catching up to do cause it aint all that. Especially since your putting out 250whp@7lbs and 8.0 compression unless your engine is really gifted:rolleyes:

You need some dyno charts to prove that 250 whp with 8.0:1 compression.

few problems:

with the shaved head and metal head gasket and different pistons, no one really know what your CR is.

when you shave the head or put a thicker head gasket in there, you mess with the quench area, making you more likely to ping, and as a result, running less timing and boost.

7 psi out of a T25 (or just about any turbo) will not result in 250 whp. the GTiR, which has much better breathing abilities than your motor, makes 230 crank HP at 8 psi. taking a T25 to 250 whp would take more boost than anyone here would be comfortable with.

take your car to a dyno and show us the slip, and also show a video of your car on the dyno and the readout when it is done, so you can prove you didnt buy someone's sheet.

and finally:

why would you go through all that trouble to "build" your motor and put a teeny tiny T25 on there? whats the point?

Go with the copper bkr7e. They are dirt cheap. Just replace or regap them every 10K, like someone else said. Fuck iridiums, you could have a years supply of copper plugs for the price of them.

Come on Sukit why you hating on me for??? The engine is gifted, I dunno why you gotta be postin bullshit ass remarks about other unrelated site, talking about how I'm trying to sell my car for x amount of dollars. Yeah and who is his nephew? How doyou know i didn't do a couple of things myself, kenny isn't the only person in NY that knows about det's. Well just le tme know when your done building your motor and get in the car running properly... when that happens then please start talking shit online again. so until then.. keep ur opinions to yourself and stop trying to insult me. DOnt hate and get mad because i spent less than half what you will be spending to build your motor on my entire car.:D

To all the rest of you guys on the forum, posting irrelevant shit mind your neck... I posted that shit to simon and when I video tape the dyno test and it comes anywhere 250whp @ 7lbs the only one that will see the sheet and see the tape would be simon... I aint posting no videos and no dyno charts online my computer sucks and I dont know how to do it so..........me and simon will see.
